Demolition of Haughton Farm House
has started despite Barry Stamp's campaign to keep it standing.
This week, contractors took just two days to completely strip
the roof tiles. This work appears to have been done without any
bat survey being carried out. Since finding that there is nothing
in law to stop the developers demolishing this building Barry
has been working to ensure that proper steps are taken to protect
the bat roost which local residents think is in the roof of the
building. Barry wrote directly to the Developers Agent pointing
out that bats were present on the site and also enlisted the
help of English Nature to get his point across. However despite
being given this information demolition has started.
