No Money For
Rest Of Road Rebuild |
Barry Stamp has
just been told that the County Council have not allocated any
money to complete the work on the Church Eaton to Gnosall Road
which they started last year. This will come as a real disappointment
to the local community as both Barry and Church Eaton Parish
Council were promised that the work would be completed this year.
This decision now means onl y
half the road has been rebuild. The remaining section is still
full of patched potholes, and floods in a number of places.
"I cannot believe that the County Council will not be finishing
the work this year. It seems unbelievable that they can rebuild
half the road and leave the rest in such a poor state. I really
do question just how the Highways Department allocates it's money,
because at the moment the only criteria seems to be just how
quickly it can be wasted," said Barry Stamp. |
