Barry
Stamp was recently contacted by residents who live in Shakespeare
Road, Stafford. The flats in this elderly persons complex are
currently being refurbished by Stafford and Rural Homes. However
the residents were complaining that the work was taking far too
long, and their homes were being left in turmoil. After visiting
the site Barry had to agree that the situation was intolerable.
He is now fighting the residents case with Stafford and Rural
Homes.
"To call Shakespeare Road
a bomb site would be too generous. The residents were complaining
they were being kept in the dark by Stafford and Rural Homes
and the contractors Connaught. Workmen failed to keep appointments
and when they did many jobs were not finished. One lady told
me she had had her washing machine and freezer in his living
room for over three weeks because the work on her kitchen had
not been completed. I am in constant contact with Stafford and
Rural Homes trying to get the problems ironed out and the work
completed as soon as possible," said Barry Stamp.
